Noticed some fountains ain’t filling up to the top like they should, not the normal flow at the hydrants. In a good aquifer 130 feet down, but alotta iron. Hired it done 2 years ago. $8,600 later got a new pump, wiring, & pipe. Guessing the same thing again. Any way to remedy the the problem?

Can I ask you what part of the state you're from? My gpa was a driller for 35 years. We did have issues with water in the area from Harvey north to Rugby. This was 20 years ago, every couple years we would pull the pump and flush the drop pipe, pumps were 3/4 horse, about $400 so they didn't bother with trying to flush the pump, just put a new one in.

$8600 for a new pump, pipe, and wire seems like highway robbery for a 130' well, even if the pump is at the bottom, unless you have a 3 hp pump and pulling 50 gpm. Even if the pump is $2500, 1.5" drop pipe is *maybe* $5 per foot, wire about the same, that means they charged you $4500 for a half day's work?????
