That would be an interesting combo! How many KWh is your peak load? One thought I have, and I think it would cost more than it's worth, is a "natural" battery. Meaning, you pump water to a higher reservoir when you have excess power, and have that water turn a turbine when you want the power.
Maybe someone smarter than me will be able to explain it, but I believe you will never create as much energy as you used to pump the water up. If you could, you would basically have a perpetual motion machine. |
