Its July 1st in Tennessee that you have to be notified for upcoming year. Just went through this, I had zero notice that a family member of land owner was gonna farm it. I already had fertilize on for the year. Had to get a lawyer and the land owner just now agreed to pay me for fertilize. Its a mess and I hate that happened to you. All of this can be avoided with just a little communication but some won't do that...
