Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

Oddly enough, we did not have turkey today. My nephew was tasked with cooking and bringing the turkey to our gathering at mom's. This year he decided to use the smoker. Sadly, instead of doing what he knew to do he listened to some advice he found on the internet, which led to him not allowing enough time for the bird to cook. We were supposed to eat at noon. I think it finally got done around 3:30 this afternoon. Fortunately, my wife and I brought a nice ham and mom had plenty of dressing, giblet gravy, corn, mashed potatoes, mustard greens, peas, green beans, pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, coconut cake, a blueberry concoction that is neither cake nor pie but is absolutely delicious, and I can't remember what all else. Of the approximately 50 people who came no one went hungry.
