The reason most politicians will not fix the problem is that the employer is holding out taxes and paying them into the government but the money paid in is tied to a fake social security number. That money cannot go into social security since it is not tied to a legal number. That money is also not sent back to the employer or employee. Where does all that money go? Think about it!
