What happens if you just tell them "I'm Done, and you are not getting any more money" ................. end of story.
We canceled Dish about 8 years ago when we finally got fast enough internet to stream. We tried Sling and a few others but like YouTube TV so we’ve stuck with that so far. Dish went from $60 to $110 a month in the 10 years we had it and got less channels instead of more and they took away the ones we actually watched. It took a half hour of repeating “cancel it, we aren’t going to pay you money any more” to finally get it done. Same deal as somebody else said, they had just raised the price but offered to lower the price , then tried to get us to drop to the next lower package, then tried to give us the next higher package for the same price as what we were already paying…I’ll give the guy credit, he did his job. But every time he got “cancel it, we aren’t going to pay you money any more”. So yeah, that did work. Eventually.
I assumed it was about like rising prices for a phone land line when we canceled that, we were paying higher because not very many were using it anymore. I don’t miss Dish. Or the land line.
