My dad called to cancel his a couple years ago and got the same "we'll lower the price" and wouldn't take no for an answer. He finally told the guy supper was ready and he could either cancel now or he'd have to wait until after supper to talk it over some more. Dish guy actually waited on the line while dad took his sweet time eating supper. Finally got it cancelled somehow, but thought it was funny the guy actually sat on hold for an hour.
