NEMO
Friend said his best corn this year was on a field with the lowest PH. Low 5's on the Ph of that top yielding field. Pretty sure they set whole farm record this year.

We have fields setting records in corn, beans and wheat this year. Basically zero soil testing over the years and long time since lime applications. I think soil testing has too much room for error to put much faith in it. When there are over 6 million places in just ONE acre to grab a soil sample, how can it be accurate? Then add in people on here saying they can tell a difference in the variance of soil tests pulled from the same spot based on the time of year, temperature and moisture of the soil, it sounds like junk science to me.

It's Missouri so it probably needs fertilizer every year here. The right amount of rain at the right time trumps almost everything else around here. Too much rain is just as bad as not enough.

Now maybe lime once every 10 years to just feel good???
