| Ever since I have been involved in more of the details of the farm (10 years) I have seen the need for easier ways to input, gather, manage, and use farm data. We have all sorts of data capture tools but at the end of the day, paper records are mostly all that are trusted for FSA reporting, crop insurance, tax planning, etc. This is mostly because of the complexity of the systems, the cost, the incompatibility across equipment, and just simply getting everyone to take the time to input the data correctly. So my question for all my farmer friends...what is the biggest challenge you have that you think can be solved with data, software, or systems? I have a dream of starting a company one day and I just know there are tons of needs around data on the farm. I'd love to hear what you think needs solving! Thanks for taking the time to share your needs and ideas! Oh, and I am not going to follow-up to try to sell you anything, nor am I affiliated with any company. I am just a farmer doing a little daydreaming about the future and starting a business and capturing ideas.
