swmn | I agree with 4th gen on the freight. Last year they ran a special where shipping was half off so that helped. Not all the hybrids are $85 either but the early pay discounts help make up for that. Not really a fair comparison with $300 corn though, need to compare against other conventional hybrids.
I won't trash the company as I like what they're doing but I have big regrets about planting their 24P02 hybrid ($115/unit). Short little ears that only filled out about 2/3 of the way, typically 24-26K long. It's advertised as having attractive late season intactness, staygreen and drought tolerance but died early relative to the 2 adjacent hybrids. Stalk lodged. I had pretty realistic expectations when I planted it, but it still managed to disappoint. It did have very good test weight. | |
