Northeast Missouri | You're right of course. But I've never had this much loss and it's gotta be somewhere in the 5 - 10 bu. range (wish I had taken a picture for proof...lots of grain at each row).
I picked a couple wagon loads in the ear, and both ends of each ear are shelled back from the end about 2". Most of that ended up in the wagons of course, but part of it got carried out of the shoe with husks (wish I had some fan blowing up from underneath, but the fan mostly blows on the husking bed.) | |
