CIL | It amazes me every year when threads about on farm storage paying or not paying come up. For those who say farm storage doesn't pay, just remember the commercial elevators are buying and building bins too. Also putting up dryers. They are not allowed to speculate in the market. So they are building and buying this stuff with only money coming from drying(shrink too), basis and spreads. It seems many don't understand how to gain on basis and spreads. Drying is a different animal, but normal shrink is less than commercial shrink. | |
