I'm aware of that. No, I was not going to take a long futures position at that time. Yes, maybe I could have done basis contracts, but then look at how well that worked for 2023 crop.... Yes, I could have stored and handled the corn twice and it would have been worth a lot more in 6-9 weeks. Post was simply made to point out various reasons why things happen the way they do.
