Vauxhall Alberta Canada | Lots of Pickett machines around here. They are not fast machines either maybe 1.5 times the capacity, hard to tell without running side by side. The advantage to them is you can start when moisture is higher (pick up a few % yield ) and less damage (another few%). That can add a $100 an acre to the bottom line. Multiply that over 500 or more acres and that adds up to more than enough to pay for one. Have a suitable tractor anyway but it doesn't run for free. Cheaper to run a 25k combine but not sure you would net any better. | |
