East Central Nebraska
Great Idea. That is what I'm going to do to get it out. Most time I'm by myself and hard to lift heavy stuff out. My dad is helpful but pushing 80. Chris, you are correct, they are junked out for a reason. For my N series parts, yes, they were not exactly good. The one was better than the other and I had to adapt to keep the door shut and it was not done right. I did it better the second time around, but that one was pretty thin already and just wore out. Just trying to get buy and in a hurry to get back up and running. Now it is time to fix right this winter. Should have done that a year ago, but too many irons in the fire and it was working. Originally when I bought this combine a few years ago, the bushings were shot and figured that is what cracked them up. I replaced all the bushings in it. The cobbled up system I made, lasted about 1000 acres. It cleaned good and no grain on the ground. That is the goal I guess. The combine I'm getting from is pretty nice. He had something major broke, I think the fan housing or something in there. I think I would have tried to fix it, but he parted it out. I thought he told me it has around 2500 hrs on it. Makes a nice parts machine for me. He is retired now and doesn't need any parts.
