Some years it appears to be the second most common crop grown in parts of Cowley and Sumner counties Kansas, soybeans would be first. Two years ago it was wet beginning of June and dry rest of summer. Most cotton did not get harvested, soybeans planted later did ok to poor. Last year was dry all year and cotton was more profitable than soybeans. This year the cotton looks fair to good same with the soybeans. Spray for bugs, spray for weeds, spray because cotton is growing good. One thing I dislike about it is it rarely ever shades the row and if it does the guy harvesting it will say you should have used more growth regulator. |
