Nw Iowa
John Deere had that big recall on a lot of those engines at the time. I believe 9770’s of certain years were included. I think that is all done and did but think cylinder sleeve protrusion the issue. I am sure on the recall but fuzzy what the problem was. I know we had a 2011 that was included but never had a a problem so JD didn’t do anything. I am guessing unrelated to your issue but just thought about it.
Edit I agree on the rental, get crop out, relax and deal with options after crop is out. I am guessing with dealer inventory they will have rentals available. I guess this year we are right at fed crop guarantees with the price protection and I still want my crop out and be done. Just too much risk of wind or other weather that makes harvest go from easy to a nightmare. Rental isn’t all out the window as there is wear and tear that will be on someone else’s machine for rental period.
