Not the answer you want to hear but I think I would up my budget, rent a machine to finish, and then decide what to do later on. The expensive Deere engine with the warranty is probably the way to go. What happens if you put in a reman and it blows with no warranty? Rebuilding yours this winter is an option if they will give any kind of warranty.
