I'm thinking 3 or 4 years. It replaced a much (2500/ yr) gin that burned. Took 2+ years to open. It is 2 x used gins in new facility. 2 x lines, only run both lines for 1 month at the end of a 'fair' year. If memory serves me did 20,000 last year. Needed 36,000 to break even
Not too sure on the cost of a cotton gin but 36k bales is a pretty low number. Our gin here isn’t huge by any means and they do over 100k bales a year pretty consistently. I’d think for $12.5 mil I’d be getting a 50-75k a year gin. |
