Closet elevator is 75 miles away. Closest elevator with a decent basis is 100 miles away with two 6% grades to get there (Homestake pass claims a lot of truck engines in the heat of the summer).
Harvest isn't possible without storage for the whole crop. I won't haul over Homestake if it's over 70° outside. 40° is my preference. 20° typically means ice and occasionally chains.
