Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | Jbatmick - 10/8/2024 11:35 Our Governor ( one of the best ), just said 37,000 linemen were either here, or on the way. I believe it, see them everywhere, just sitting and waiting. 8,000 National Guard, 34 rescue aircraft ( mostly copters ), from other states are here. Many gas stations out, traffic is snarled up in places, grocery stores out of many items. Ready as we can be, I guess. Pretty dayrightnow,
I don't know all the particulars, but I do know that firemen/EMTs from central Oklahoma are on their way to FL, because my cousin's grandson is one of the ones enroute. I know nothing about anyone or anything else, other than this young man who recently graduated fire school is headed in to help where needed. |
