Yes, the problem is when the GBS crowd do not take protection on the bushels and just fill the bins. Selling grain isn’t a dirty word. In this high interest environment those dollars from sold bushels can pay you in a CD.
No argument from me. However lot of the GBS crowd isn't borrowing money and doesn't want to screw with a hedge account so this is their way of maintaining a long position in the market.
And the interest from the CD adds to their tax problem. Different strokes for different folks.
