Agree, simpler is better. I have a foot shift Recon 250cc. Its the smallest utility they make, and for cattle, its the best machine. I have a 4x4 suspended rear axle rancher, also, You get a cow or calf that doesn't want to cooperate, they will get around you on one of those bigger rigs that don't turn for crap, I weight 220 and that recon is hands down the best little machine. Turns on a dime, throw your ass into it and slide the rear, great little foot brake. Bringing a calf up with pink eye to get treated... Recon every time. Stick with foot shift. Its cheaper, and more responsive than electric shift.

Simple maintenance, trouble free.

If you don't see yourself needing to be aggressive on the cattle side, No reason to go bigger than a Rancher in my opinion. Honda basically made the Rancher model extremely customizable, so you can get a lot of the bells and whistles if you need.
