It was a tree stump I couldn't see in the tall grass that got me. The other bad wreck I had on a four wheeler was when a cow turned in front of me. You're in control of the four wheeler, but you can't always control what happens.

I don't miss moving aggressive cattle in super dusty conditions. Ones that are used to hanging out in the bottoms and brush with little human interaction. Nothing tame about those. We were having difficulty just getting them moved across the wheat fields and towards a corral. I was on a 4 wheeler that morning to cover ground faster and provide support. Nothing seemed to go right with that group of cattle. Then they get cranky in all that dust and ya can't see squat. Had some close calls and thankfully didn't get run over. What was supposed to take part of the morning ended up requiring far more time and effort just to get them out of there. I think that was only the second group out of two we ever had so much difficulty moving. They'd separate and go in several directions instead of grouping together.

Even more loads of fun to be had when gathering in the bottoms and brush. LOL There are hidden posts in the tall vegetation you won't see until right up on them. Something those cattle experience in the bottoms makes them wilder than wild. I'm sure they see more than one mountain lion roaming through there.
