Brazos Valley | Got to see them doing that once in the panhandle of Texas building a new transmission line. They were doing just as you saw, setting the pulleys. It was like a choreographed concert between lifting a pulley, setting a pulley and grabbing another. They made it look easy.
The manager of the cotton gin nearby had talked with the crew a bunch and he said the guy hanging from the copter had to sign a clause that in an emergency the pilot can cut him free to save the helicopter. I thought that was a terrible idea. How in the world could that pilot ever live with himself if that were to happen. It’s probably a requirement by the insurance company and I doubt a pilot would actually do it.
