You should've seen the old store at the height of WUHAN FLU. I was in there 3-4 times during 2020 planting season when we were working close by. It was like being in a standing-room-only bar in St. Louis or Chicago during a Cardinals-Cubs game when the pennant is on the line. There wasn't just a line to the checkout counters, the lines went all the way to the back AND all the way to the FRONT of the store. Maybe 1 patron in 10 wearing a face diaper, but that's probably a stretch. Might have been 1 in 30. As others have said above, there would be license plates in the parking lot from hours away and at least three states. Normally I hate going to Dutchmans when It's overcrowded, but in those days it was just refreshing to find a place filled with people who refused to participate in the insanity and lies. |
