If you are assuming 40,000bushels in terms of across the scale on your ticket "bushels "just 40,000 x 60 /56.

If you are looking for how many bushels across the scale you get paid on and know the bin volume, test weight is very important to know how many lbs you get out of a bin when going across the scale.

Assuming measurments are in ft :
Bin volume without cone 3.14 x radius^2 x height gets you area in cubic ft. Divide that by 1.25. (1 us bushel volume is 1.25cubic ft). then take that number and multiply it by your test weight which is pounds per us bushel volume. This gets you total weight in the bin. Then divide by 56 for corn or 60 for soy which is how elevators pay you in weight "bushels".
