Holly Hill, SC | These are single action cylinders with the only power used to lower the feeder would be the weight of the feeder. (Same as JD 3 pt hitch will not lower by itself with no load or quick hitch.) By loosening both lines (one on each cylinder) would eliminate any valve block problem. Potentiometer has nothing to do with it. Older cylinders like to gouge the Rod to cylinder cylinder side walls. You may have excess friction. At a minimum you need a seal kit, but a aftermarket cylinder may be a required option. Be aware that the threads in this cylinder for the hydraulic fitting are metric versus previous models being standard thread.
I would try to get something heavy (tote full of water, pallet of weights, etc) and partially rest it on the front lip as someone holds the down switch in the cab. | |
