Didn’t post a few months ago about being the driest you’ve ever seen in your neck of the woods?
Is Townsend a nice area?
Yeah, up to almost 2.6" of rain year to date. Unfathomably dry. Luckily we irrigate out of the Missouri River and Wells that are hydraulically connected to Canyon Ferry Reservoir. The drier it is, the higher they keep the lake. The higher the lake, the more we can pump from our wells.
20 miles south has got almost 10" ytd.
Nice area, all the irrigation water you could want and then some. Dry climate makes for good hay. Problem is that we are stuck between Bozeman and Helena and are getting overrun by houses. |
