Fuel drips out of the bottom of my 9250 fuel tank where the drain hose connects. It is the metal piece leaking where the plastic fuel tank fuses to it. Have tried various glues/sealers and it holds for a while and then leaks again.

Dealer says it is a common problem with the combines.

Other than buying a new expensive fuel tank does anyone have any other fixes that have worked?

We built an expanded metal shield for ours. Thought was that mud gets kicked up off the rear tire and hits the fitting and hose and causes the leaks. Had to replace the tank on the right side on a 9240 and after that the guys came up with the shield idea and it seemed to work.
