We ran cereal rye pretty heavy from 2007-2017 or so and have gradually backed off to hel ground only and even some of it we have dropped it. Main reason it acts to much like a weed and makes spring planting more difficult then necessary. Never saw a yield bump but saw plenty of yield drag. If we use it now we don’t drop more then 1/4 -1/3 of a bushel.
Anyone have any success with cover crops?
