Subject: RE: Honda Rancher/Foreman/Rubicon

Southern Ohio
Have a 12 Rancher 420, trouble free except for a couple fuel pumps. Foot shift with power steering. Love the machine. Quick and nimble for cattle checking and moving. So much lighter than my older Foremans

98 Foreman 400 foot shift. Solid machine and is mostly my rotational grazing rig.

Recently came across a real nice 00 Foreman 450ES for dirt cheap because of the shifting issues. Stout machine also but hate the electric shift. I haven't had issues with the shifting since I fixed it but 25+ years of foot shift muscle memory makes for an aggravating experience. Also, hard to shift while holding a cold one :). I'll probably move on from it for these reasons.

Have no experience with newer Foremans but I'd love to have get into one for the payload capacity for heavier use PLUS power steering. Power steering is the bees knees. So for what you're asking about I don't think you'd go wrong with a rancher or foreman
