Hooker Twp,Ne
Well insurance adjuster just left. This is property insurance. For now we were concerned about grain in grain bags that got hit by fire. Eplant doesn’t want it. So we trying somewhere else. Possibly local cattle lot. We took out ins on the bags this year as it was so dry. He said hire grain vac, trucks and get it out to whom will buy it. If they’ll only pay you $2/ bu we’ll make up the difference in price.I use Dec board as example price. Also pay vac and trucking. What really got us off guard is a portion in our ins that pays for loss of crop that was standing and got burnt to zero. Field of beans. Small field only 22 acres but full loss. Also area around fields that got disc so fire couldn’t get in field is insured. He said they would call dispatch and see who called in fire. The farmer where fire started is liable and they will get fire Marshall to look into it. Our insurance company takes care of us and they go after $$$s from the liable end.
