Yesterday, the tenant on the family land stopped by before I left to discuss the fall rent check now that my Mom passed a couple months ago. He had a close call last week. Seems he was doing something next to his grain cart and left his pickup in neutral and it rolled against him and mashed him against the cart wheel (I think). Bed side of the pickup was pushed in a bit. Truck rolled past or he would have been trapped alone in the field. From the sounds of it, probably has cracked or at least bruised ribs. Said his wife wanted him to go to the doctor but so far has not (too busy with harvest). | |
