East of Broken Bow
Can you have cows graze it?

We have been continuous corn for years, let cows graze stalks, hit it once with shallow tillage to help break up stalks, and plant. Been working good. When we try zero tillage we occasionally run into problems in areas the cows didn't graze. Keep in mind we're just running a White 6000 with Martin wheels. A newer not till planter should do better and maybe could go without the tillage.
