Madison Co. Virginia | I had a run-in myself with Walmart last week that leaves me even less interested in shopping there.
I live in a relatively-low-crime area, and I haven't seen many locked store shelves. Lowes locks up the wire, but that's to be expected. I went into Walmart hoping to pick up some underwear. The entire men's underwear section was under lock and key. The lady nearby was happy enough to help me find what I wanted. I wanted to feel the fabric on a couple different packages, but she was extremely hesitant to let those packages out of her hands. I made my selection, and she insisted that she'll take it up to customer service for me. That was my snapping point. I told her to put it back on the shelf, and I'd buy it on Amazon instead. The inconvenience was bad enough, but the disrespect was too much, in that she didn't trust me to take a $15 item to the register. | |
