| With the dry, HOT, open fall.. most everything is mature.. Corn went from 18% to 12% in a week, We've finished our full season soybeans Friday.. moisture went from 11% to under 8%.
The sorghum is dry.. coming off early.
Basis is already starting to firm.. Cargill firmed it's processor bid Friday as the board sold off.. The ethanol plant must procure around 17 million bushels per year to "feed the beast."
Ill get flamed for this.. for saying "no ground piles" as the picture below shows the one(s) at the plant which is normal. They are off to a good start.. It's expected that they will grind more sorghum this year as China hasn't procured much..
Id be buying shuttles at these prices if I were them.. once this crop finds a home.. owners will be tight fisted turning loose.
Harvest selling is wrapping up here.
Cheers.
