At 15 to 20 grand that will take quite a few years of dry beans to pay for itself as it still cost money to run the fans and then you have take into account what a guy seems to lose running them thru an auger sometimes twice the first time into the bin at the real dry stage. I think I would save those bins with that system for wet corn.


Definitely more efficient to dry corn, but it will easily add 2 to 3 points to beans and if you planned on storing some beans anyway, it is just a bonus. We usually take our 13.3% beans to town and store our 9% beans. If consitions are right and 14% + beans dont have a lot of green pods in them we'll store them and dry them.
