If you can “catch it in the act” when using the Steady Steer run by the InCommand,  check to see if you have a wired IP address under the display diagnostics as I posted earlier. This should help confirm an Ethernet cable issue. The SS/Z2 steering systems have been a very reliable product but the Ethernet cables have been a minor issue. The factory ones seem somewhat vulnerable to mechanical damage, the HD ones I replace with have been fine. Not a common issue by any means, but I have had to replace a couple.
