Can't imagine a skid loader being fast enough .
Had one on a 400 artic cat. Needed a bigger atv as it was to slow. If you can't catch them within a few feet, it ain't gona happen.
I have a small lp branding iron stove on it. Now days, a inverter generator &electric iron would be good. I tagged, branded, gave shots, and cut calves. Really needed to get them by the time they were less than a day old.
I bought a 750 atv but screwed up my knee so couldn't do it.
Don't work in mud.
Now we pair them out, bring them into the corral and use a calf table, when we get 10 head to match 10 dose vaccine bottles.
My son took over tagging and he don't want to fool with it. He is lots faster than the old man!
Cows that would be nasty to you in the open, generally just stand and watch you. Never had one try to climb over the top.
