Correct, the only loser is the farmer if they deliver over dry crops. The important components of the seeds (oil, starch, proteins etc) dry matter, the end user gets more cheaply. If they end user needs more moisture for processing its cheaper to buy water from the tap than pay for wetter grain.

It’s the reason why no crops leave my farm unless they are at the standard moisture. On beans for my little operation that will equate to $30,000 this year.
