Subject: Edible beans too dry?

Anamoose, ND
I have never dealt with this before but I think we are approaching the point where my edible beans (pintos) are too dry to harvest without causing severe damage. Harvesting at night has little benefit as the seed does not pick up any moisture and tough plants make threshing more difficult.
