Minnesota | I have a 7130 combine with pro700 guidance system/Nav2 on RTK....this is the old style cab 7130 with the 7088 electronics. I'm trying to combine soybeans at a 5 degree angle to 30 planted rows and having trouble getting the autosteer to not swerve. The line is straight from one end of the field, but I get +/-4-5 in cross track error going across the field. The fields are not perfectly smooth -- we have some shallow ruts from planting in a record wet spring and some moderate ruts from spraying when it was also too wet.
I can get the machine to drive well on a smooth field, but have trouble going at angle in a less smooth field. P-Gain is 19.5 (I've tried going up/down on p-gain) , I've tried moving the aggressiveness up/down and it either gets too lazy or to much oscillation. I've also tried D-gain 0-80 and it seems to be best at about 40. I've done the deadzone cal with the hyd oil at operating temp.
Do you have any suggestions to improve the steering or is this just the consequence of going at an angle to a rough field?
Thanks!
