I like the float in the culvert, I might have to try that.


We grabbed a 42" peice of culvert out of scrap pile. Worked great. HDPE 2" SDR-11 coming into with fused thread end. We run all 3/4" or 1" Robert's valves on all troughs in summer country. So we always have parts on truck. No overflow on this one. Ground is too flat in a corral. Would have to rock a underground drain if needed. However only need this trough for two days out of the year. Helps keep cows lubed up for vet to preg. check. Also use ADS pipe for center of troughs.


Yeah, usually laying 1 1/2” here, so usually use a 1 1/2”x 3/4” reducing tee. Use 3/4” poly for the last few feet to the tank.

Have been trying some Rojo floats on a few installs. So far they have been doing well.
