C IL | I go to nondenom and grew up in an LCMS area. I think confirmation is an infant baptism congregation’s way of marking the entry into adulthood of faith, just as our nondenominational church does that with baptism of kids around confirmation age.
Big focus on education and obedience (LCMS). Here LCMS confirmation used to be 2 or 3 weeks all day in the summer, maybe they had to go 2 summers, I don’t remember.
The catholic school kids get religion at school and the catholic kids that go to public school have to do Wed evenings.
