Very nice setup! My wife worked in an old boumatic internal rotary years ago where the cows stood head to tail. It was very efficient in my opinion compared to conventional parlors. When they had a slow milking cow they would tie her on and have her go a second round.
Interesting! It would not be hard to design a system that would do that automatically on my parlor. However, as HUD stated above, it just becomes a selection criteria. Cows that take a long time to milk tend to be higher in SCC and make the rotary inefficient. Best to just sell them than to have them slow down the process. But for now, I have lots of time and space, so they get to stay until they give me another reason to send them down the road. |
