I’ve known several people who had some serious health issues after the stomach surgery. Mainly my mother who had 2 rounds of cancer. I bet she lost 100# easy living mostly off protein supplements. My lay opinion is that nutritional deficiencies open you up to lots of health issues that can be worse that fat.
