| The most effective way to try out any OS is first to load up VirtualBox and install the OS in a VM. You can download the ISO, boot it with VirtualBox, and install it on a virtual disk.

Running from a bootable ISO on a USB stick will let you try it out, but as soon as you reboot, everything you tinkered with is gone. | |
