Been a long time since I did any of this and I'm not finding the exact answer.

I exported my registry a week or so ago before I deleted a key to get rid of shortcut arrows.  Since then I've had one or two oddities happen on the computer.  Using the windows backup restore didn't change anything.

If I open the registry and import the exported registry will it over write the existing registry and put things back to where they were?

I just don't remember so I'm hoping somebody knows.
